You're on the bridge of the starliner Queen of the Void, captaining a luxury sightseeing cruise — out through the solar system (Sun, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn… past Pluto and the Kuiper belt), then between the stars: Proxima Centauri, TRAPPIST-1, 51 Pegasi, Kepler-452 and more, with their exoplanets. Drag to steer a smooth course, ease past debris, glide through stardust, and hold Boost or Ease to set your pace. Each voyage carries different guests to please — tap ? in flight for the full manual.
Rescue tugs are inbound. Refit the ship and set sail again.
Steer — drag anywhere on the window to swing your heading; the whole field banks around your nose (the centre crosshair). Optional tilt steering from the start screen.
Boost & Ease — hold Boost to open the throttle between ports (it burns fuel, refilled by stardust); hold Ease to slow to a gentle drift that soothes guests and recharges faster. Slowing right down beside a world is how sightseers and stargazers actually take in the view — barrel past at speed and the moment is lost. On desktop: Space boosts, Shift eases.
Keep it smooth — ease asteroids off the crosshair to spare the hull. Sharp, repeated banking unsettles guests, and the penalty escalates the more you jerk the ship around — watch for the amber TURBULENCE warning and settle down.
Stardust & decks — glide the crosshair through stardust to keep your ship running. Stardust now comes in colours, each feeding a different system, so a cluster is a choice: thread the line you actually need. Your three decks (Dining · Shows · Lounge) slowly deplete, and Boost burns fuel — so route toward whatever’s running low. A rare grand crystal tops up everything.
Your guests — every voyage carries a few groups with different tastes: honeymooners want calm flying, the Astronomers want tight flybys, gourmands want dining stocked, daredevils want boldness, naturalists love calm nebula legs, and more. You can't fully please everyone — open the ? terminal to read each group's mood.
Voyage types — each launch is a different charter (Grand Cruise, VIP Charter, Honeymoon Special, Thrill Tour, School Expedition, Naturalist Survey) that skews who's aboard and how demanding they are. Fly to suit the crowd you drew.
Deck moments — stage a 🍽️ Dinner, 🎭 Show, or ✨ Stargazing from the bridge buttons — plus a charter signature moment unique to your voyage (a Grand Cruise Deck Party, a VIP Grand Ball, a school Science Fair, a honeymoon Moonlit Waltz, a Daredevil Stunt, a Naturalist Lecture). Timing is everything: a Dinner or Show lands best when that deck is well-stocked, Stargazing is magical right beside a close world, and each signature has its own sweet spot — but mistimed, it's wasted. Each has a short cooldown.
Onboard events — now and then a one-tap dilemma slides in (a birthday divert, a coolant warning, a VIP’s request…), some with two choices, some with three. Many are tailored to your charter — a VIP speed-record, a school science experiment, a honeymoon proposal, a daredevil slingshot, a naturalist survey. Keep flying while you decide — pick an option, or ignore it and it auto-resolves to the cautious choice. Choices ripple into your guests’ moods.
Space conditions — each leg between ports rolls a condition that tints the scene and shows on the leg badge. Serene, scenic runs — 🕊️ Calm Doldrums, 🌈 Aurora Veil, 🌠 Comet Shower, 🌑 Dark Nebula — soothe everyone and especially delight naturalists; dust-rich legs like ☀️ Solar Storm (boost offline, but stardust pours out) and 🌫️ Nebula Drift reward slowing to harvest; and rough stretches — ☄️ Meteor Stream, ⚡ Ion Squall, 🪨 Debris Field — throw debris to ease off the crosshair. Fly to suit the leg you drew.
Traffic & encounters — you’re not alone out here. Cargo haulers, sister liners, patrol cutters and mail packets drift past, and now and then something rarer appears — a pod of star-whales, a drifting derelict (worth salvage), a distress beacon, or a shooting star to wish upon. Comms will hail each one.
World spectacles — iconic stops put on a one-off show when you draw close and frame them well: auroras over Earth, the Great Red Spot on Jupiter, the ring plane at Saturn, a solar prominence off the Sun, lensing at Gargantua, and more. Keep them centred to catch the moment.
The ? terminal — your bridge console: a live ship schematic, telemetry, deck health, the guest manifest with moods, and deck-moment status. The ★ Journey Map and this manual open from there.
▣ Observation deck (lower-left) — hides the bridge for clean, full-screen views; tap the ✕ to return.
The itinerary — out through the solar system (asteroid belt, Saturn's rings, Pluto, the Kuiper belt), then between the stars: Proxima Centauri, the Veil Nebula, TRAPPIST-1, 51 Pegasi, the Gargantua black hole, Kepler-452, Tau Ceti, Gliese 581, 55 Cancri, HD 189733, Kepler-22, and a wormhole home.
Ease right down beside a world. Sightseers and stargazers only truly take in a view when you're slow — hold Ease as a planet fills the window. When the green ◎ Taking in the view badge lights up, you're slow enough and scoring it — and the slower you go, the more it's worth. Barrel past at speed and the moment is lost.
Slow through excursions too. When the crew flags an optional excursion off the bow, steer onto it and ease down to drift slowly through — that's what logs it and lifts every deck, more so the slower you go. Blow past at speed and it slips by.
Fly smooth. Glide asteroids off the crosshair rather than yanking the ship. Sharp, repeated banking escalates turbulence and rattles guests — settle the moment you see the amber warning.
Mind your decks. Dining, Shows and Lounge slowly run down. Let one go dark and guests notice — keep them fed with stardust.
You can't please everyone. Open the ? terminal to read each group's mood, then fly to suit the crowd you actually drew.
Route by stardust colour. Amber feeds Dining, rose feeds Shows, cyan feeds the Lounge, violet refuels Boost, green tops a little of everything. Aim your line through a cluster toward whatever's lowest.
Time your deck moments. A Dinner or Show lands best when that deck is well-stocked; Stargazing shines right beside a close world; your charter's signature moment has its own sweet spot — nail it for a PERFECT and a celebration.
Boost the gaps, ease the ports. Open the throttle on the long stretches between worlds to save time, then ease into each flyby to score it. Fuel recharges faster while easing.
Work the weather. A Solar Storm locks your boost but pours out stardust — slow down and harvest. Nebula legs are dust-rich and calming, especially for naturalists.
Chase the rare encounters. Drift near a pod of star-whales (naturalists swoon), a derelict (salvage), or a shooting star (everyone makes a wish) — but ease down as they pass, just like an excursion. A pulsing ring means you're slow enough to make the most of them; blow past at speed and they slip astern.
Frame iconic worlds dead-centre, up close, to trigger their one-off spectacle — Earth's auroras, Jupiter's Great Red Spot, Saturn's ring plane, a solar prominence, Gargantua's lensing.
Ignore a dilemma and it auto-resolves to the cautious choice — but a bold pick can delight the right crowd. Choices ripple into guests' moods.
Charter-specific events only surface on their matching voyage. Want to see the daredevil slingshot or the honeymoon proposal? Fly that charter.
A grand crystal is rare and tops up every deck plus fuel — grab it whenever one appears.
